- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★The Aquatic and Family Center is a fabulous low-cost place to swim. It offers lap swim, open swim, water aerobics, free Sunday senior swim, swimming classes for children, youths, and adults, and birthday party and other rentals. Northampton Area Swimming, a swim team for young people age six through high school, practices here four nights a week. The Northampton High School diving and swim teams also practice here. The AFC also offers open basketball for adults in the school gymnasium. The low membership rates can't be beat. They are posted below. Walk-ins are also welcome. If you love to swim and you're in the Northampton area, the AFC can't be beat. Try it, you'll like it. As of as of 12/19/12 the membership and walk-in rates are: Northampton Residents - 1 Year Youth $70 Adult $115 Senior $70 Family $220 Residents - 6 months Youth $50 Adult $85 Senior $50 Family $135 Northampton Non-residents - 1 year Youth $120 Adult $155 Senior $120 Family $285 Non-residents - 6 months Youth $99 Adult $125 Senior $99 Family $200 "Youth" is anyone under 16 years old. "Senior" is age 55 and older. Walk In Fees Pool Daily Fee Resident Youth/Senior $3 Resident Adult $4 Non-resident Youth/Senior $4 Non-resident Adult $5 Youth is under 16.
